OK, what is the name of the white fish that nibble on ya?

I take it you got nibbled on today? I think those are mullet. They don't bother me but they swarm around Mr. OL's feet. We can be standing right next to each other and he's the one surrounded. Fine with me.

Shopped too much today and my feet hurt. Had to return a few things. Dylan got his hairs cut at the mall. I can see his eyes again.:D

Toots a Dali? That tar is hanging in my dining room. It is a "signed print" :floor: hubby got off ebay when we were both a bit more naive. It looks authentic to anyone who doesn't know that Dali signed every paper put in front of him (and his friends signed for him half the time), and it is nicely framed. A bit creepy :creepy: to see it as a tar. Why is it your tar? Is tomorrow Dali Day? :idontno:

columbus day Monday, right? this is Dali's columbus print. it's really great - would love to see it up close and personal. signed is signed - how great to have it!

Dali day sounds more exciting than columbus day...

The original is hanging at the Dali Museum in St. Pete. It is 14 feet tall. If you make it this way ever we will go see!:D

Living in Columbus, I used to think we were the only ones that celebrated. Other towns lost out.

Exactly what happened to us! and you think us gulls would taste better.
Didn't bother me, but Mr. mango had them all over him.

Mr. OL says it's b/c he's heavy and stirs up all the food particles on the bottom for the fish. Sounds logical right?

I don't think it has anything to do with weight, but I have noticed that if you stir the sand up, it gets them going. I usually stand in one place looking for creatures that might bite. ;-)

Random thought. . . I just finished ironing and getting things in order to pack for vacation. Why do I iron and then pack them just so they can get wrinkled again. Total waste of time and energy. :idontno:

You are so right, I know this, I just can't seem to break the habit. I also feel like the house has to be clean before I leave. I'm worn out by the time I get in the car to leave.

you need to come and spend some time with me - i can wear the neatness out of anyone ! my hubby was a neatnik, he came from a perfect home that never has a speck of dust in it. then he hooked up with me - the ultimate slob....after 14 years he has given up - if he wants something cleaned he does it himself....

I sooooooo know this feeling! I hate coming home to a dirty house. But, like you, I'm exhausted by the time we leave....speakin' of which, I better get busy cleaning!! :bang:

I can't wait to tell Bdarg that I am not the only one that cleans before vacation. You are so right- coming home after vacay is hard enough, but coming home to a dirty house is the pits. Even when we didn't have a housesitter actually staying here, I cleaned the house. When we did have a housesitter, well, let's just say I practiacally did spring cleaning.

why does anyone iron anything ever? in my house if it needs ironing that bad, it goes to the goodwill. end of story.

my Italiano mother is in Rome right now with all her sisters and cousins (all women) where they are eating, screaming and telling the Pope what to do.

anyway, my mom had that need to do an extra good cleaning on her house before she could leave the country. she said if something happened to her, no one outside the immediate family was allowed to look in her closet under any circumstances. I can relate.

oh, me too!
One of my dear friends made me promise years ago that if anything ever happened to her (like if she died suddenly) to go to her house and clean it and remove certain items BEFORE her mother got there. The promise still stands.
