The county awarded a $155,340 contract to Contech Bridge Solutions Inc., of Fort Payne, Ala., to construct two steadfast steel pedestrian bridges over Eastern and Oyster lakes. [B]The spans will be of similar construction to the bridge already in place over Draper Lake[/B], and will reduce the hazards of combining vehicular and foot traffic. A bid sheet estimates the spans will be delivered 12-14 weeks after a one-third deposit is received, and they should be operational less than a month after delivery.
