The nomination period for the 2023 Perfect in Walton County Awards will be open from Aug. 15 until Sept. 9. Everyone, from homeowners and visitors to locals and workers, can nominate their favorite businesses, events, and activities in an online form at
www.visitsouthwalton.com
“From our residents to our visitors, we all have our favorite shops, restaurants, activities and places to explore,” says Matt Algarin, Walton County tourism director. “The Perfect in Walton County awards allow us to celebrate these businesses, events and activities, and keep people talking about their favorites throughout the year.”
Nominations can be made in as many or as few categories as you wish, but only one online form per email address will be accepted. Visitor-facing businesses may encourage their guests, customers, followers, friends, and family to nominate them in any of the thirty categories. Businesses and/or individuals must primarily serve or do business in Walton County to qualify, and businesses and/or individuals who provide beach services (i.e., photographer and chair vendor) must hold a current vendor permit with the Walton County Code Compliance Department to be considered. The top five nominees in each category will move on to the final voting round, which begins Sept. 26 and ends Oct. 21. The top three businesses with the highest number of votes in each category will be recognized as Diamond, Platinum or Gold winners at the Perfect in Walton County Awards presentation in January 2023. These winners will be promoted in print and online by Walton County Tourism throughout the year.
