Ok, not sure how to feel about this: Walked into what has become a regular stop for me to pick up my bottle of Appleton Estates Reserve. The guy behind the counter charged me about two bucks less than the price tag on the bottle.
Being the honest guy that I am, I pointed it out to him. He said, "Oh, you get the senior discount." I laughed...at first. Then, I was offended. Then, I was overcome with thankfulness for having to pay less than sticker....

"I am only 40, for cripes sake."I exclaimed
He then explained that it was a little something he did for his regulars when spring breakers were in town.
Been a local for only 3 months....I luve this place!:clap:

Cash's had a BIG ad in the NWF Daily News; Tuesday 10 or 20% discount for ALL folks. I think you hit it right. Cashier was pulling your leg....I think;-)

Where we use to live, I had a regular liquor store and I always got a frequent flyer discount-that's my kind of place!

Oddly the gray is getting thick up top. I get carded when I shave, otherwise they don't bat an eyelash.

I get a total kick out of how my parents play the "aged" game...
Mom subscribes to AARP for the "discounts".
Dad refuses to subscribe and howls about AARP's "bad politics". I also notice what a quiet lamb he is when Mom pulls out her AARP discount card at the cash register! :lol:

love it when shops & restaurants offer locals a little discount - makes you feel special! and also makes you keep coming back all year round.

wesman, I bet he was giving you a little local's discount.
