I am leaving soon for the job I usually love. Yesterday I had a MAJOR confrontation with a parent. She is returning today. Let's hope today it better.
How do you handle irrate, irrational co-workers or clients? In this situation it would be best to be postivie, but after yesterday I just want to tear her apart. I hate being attacked unfairly. :bang: :bang: :bang:

as one who is yelled at constantly by customers, i have found if you just stay calm, stand there and smile, and be super-nice, well that gets their goat. my favorite thing to do is just stand and stare and give no response to their outbursts, makes them even meaner and madder, then i call security. i guess i am a bit of an agitator, huh?

iwiwt, I am so sorry you had such a bad day. One suggestion of what NOT to do that I know is a standard response..."I'm sorry you feel that way". For some reason, that statement makes my skin crawl! I am guessing a night's sleep and some distance will diffuse the situation some. My experience has been that when people lose it like that, there is almost nothing you can say or do to placate them. I wish you a better day today!!!
