Against until they remove the North/South connector. The other name for that is the Pt. Washington State Forest bisecting road.

Wait until people find out the majority of funding will go to that project.

Vote NO to the forest road!

I believe we don't need new roads. Improve existing ones and stop developing every square foot as dense as possible.

It'll be interesting to get Donna John take on this since the least benefited district will be Miramar Beach, but based on population they'll likely bear the greatest cost.

I think the ordinance as written is ambiguous at best, and the referendum was intentionally worded in a vague and persuasive format. It reads as a plea to a cause, rather than a technical summary of actual use. According to the results of the report, the county should be focusing on responsible management and spending of current taxes not increasing taxes due to mismanagement.

How can the county put a road in a state forest!? Terrible idea. I thought state lands were protected form development.

The state hasn't agreed to a road, but according to the plan the first step is $5 million for right of way acquisition. For some reason we're doing that before PD&E and even before the state agrees to it, not to mention the utilities that own the easement.

This tax is a boondoggle waiting to happen. Vote NO.

Is it because Walton County gets what it wants because it is mostly Huckabee. DeSantis. Gaetz voters?
