Another ice storm headed our way. Been following it all day, hoping to hear the prediction change for the better. Nope, bulletin on TV just told everyone to get prepared with candles, flashlights, food, medicine, blah, blah, blah. There is still debris from the first storm! :bang:

Oh man, hope you all are prepared. Drag out the board games!
We're just supposed to get about 5" of snow on Sunday. Ice is the worst. Stay safe.

We had a high of 66 today. Supposed to have highs in the 60's through Sunday but anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of rain between tomorrow and Friday and of course the possible flooding. But, our temps are going to drop Monday and Tuesday and be in the 30's for a high but no snow. Rats.

Well, we have food, candles and the fireplace; all things we needed last month. People seem pretty panicked. I was at the grocery store today, and it was mobbed. The ice storm last month was so much worse than everyone anticipated and totally crippled our area. There are people who still have trees and branches in their yards, so everyone is fearing the worst, I think.

Just stay inside and teach the little peas to play Texas Hold 'Em. That's what my family does during storms!

We were in the grocery store a while ago - just ran in for some milk and the checkouts were all backed up. We were wondering "what's up with all the Friday night shopping?" Then we thought - ahhh the weather reports.

Sounds like you guys may get it again. Hope the worst misses you.

BTW -- NEAT AVATAR!!

Ah yes, I remember the one winter I lived in Dallas; driving very slowly on 635 watching people fly by me only to pass them a few minutes later after they ended up in a ditch. But I also remember sitting in the hot tub at my apartment complex in Euless and having a snowball fight - that was quite FUNN!

Looks like there's a lot of bad weather in the forecast this weekend all across the country. Hope everybody fares well and survives unscathed.

I usually get mentalpause when someone asks this question.

I did the pass out (sober) on the sofa last night and woke up at 2:45 am. I cozied up again about 6 and woke up at 7:30 am. I am going back to the ENT this week. We'll see.

That's about my normal bedtime (well more like 2AM during the week if I have to be up at 8AM.)

By the time I fell asleep it was just after 5AM - pretty late even by my standards.

ENT = Ear Nose & Throat Doctor? I'd need a psychiatrist to fix my sleep issues. I just worry too much.

Hey pea...how's the weather? It was not looking so good on TWC. I am hoping that MS will be able to get back to school on Monday. He flies to STL and then gets on a puddle jumper to Columbia.

I just looked on www.weather.com and it said there were a lot of power outages in the area affected. Sounded like a pretty bad storm across Missouri and up into Central Illinois. Hopefully Pea and some of the others in that area will check in soon.

I was going to ask you about this; I was assuming he'd have to come through here at some point. I don't know what it'll be like tomorrow, but I know a lot of flights were cancelled last night. Mr. Pod is due home from Atlanta tomorrow and already thinking he'll be delayed.
It's pretty icy at our house. The weather reports keep saying everything will come in waves/stages, and another round of nastiness is due around 6 p.m., I think.
Linda, my sister-in-law way out in St. Louis county is without power, but we're OK here. I've been doing laundry constantly since last night just in case. Wish I could borrow John R's washing machine and dryer...

Glad to hear you're hanging in there! Thanks for reporting in. Does John R have an especially nice washer and dryer? Maybe Mango could bring her iron over to his place and they could go into business - LOL! Speaking of laundry, that's what I should be doing! It's been a lazy day so far. No bad weather here - just kind of overcast and gloomy (to the point that you don't want to do anything.)

The only Washer and Dryer that would impress me would have to fold/hang/iron(if needed), and put it all away in the proper place.

And now, back to weather! This just in... MS and his group are stuck in Salt Lake City. They have canceled over 300 flights in and out of DFW. They may not get back here until 9 pm tomorrow. :(

P.S. Don't tell Molly.

We still have not had anything frozen around here.
