?That Guy? Kramer?s April Fool?s Day Prank
The station ran a fake Public Service Announcement all morning that directed all Bay County residents to have their pet registered with the ?Bay County Department of Regulations and Taxation? so they could be properly taxed. The PSA falsely reminded people that Friday, April 2nd was the final day to do so. Residents were warned that agents of the Taxation Department might seize unregistered pets beginning Monday, April 5th.
The PSA then instructed listeners to call the ?Pet Tax Hotline? at 850-238-5117 for further information. Upon calling the number, people discovered a message telling them it was an April Fool?s Day joke.
Some listeners laughed and enjoyed the prank, while others didn?t think it was quite so funny. Regardless, dozens of people called the hotline and became part of one of the biggest April Fool?s Day pranks in Island 106 history!
