Cool but slightly scary if they really have made it this far north and west.

Scary for the cat. He won't last long in Crestview or near any other town.

I've spoken to a number of people who have reported seeing cougar. Actually, most people who have told me stories of seeing one say it was a black panther. Several people on my street in Seagrove who have lived here for years tell me this and in my adventures I have met people who have told me about their sightings. I'll put up a link to an artcile here that demonstrates a black bobcat caught. But to me, if a bobcat can have this characteristic, so too can a cougar. I have also heard stories (for decades..oops giving away my age here)....about a black panther sighting around here..usually around the Four Mile Village area. The only thing that needs to be clarified is... tail or no tail? Were the persons claiming to have seen a "black panther" at a vantage point to be able to see the tail?
