I was skeptical about this until the part about real world companies already running on this new technology! Wow, this has tons of potential!

Nice find. Hopefully these will come down to affordable once he's able to pump out multiple units/day.

He said around $3,000. Not sure about your power bill, but in my household it would pay for itself in about 2 years.

Sadly there is so much we could conserve if the government would allow it.

I would gladly spend $300 considering my current bill.

If Obama insists on spending the stimulus money, at least he could throw a couple of billion into research of this techology.

To produce the natural gas you need to run one of these things?

Or as the inventor stated you can use renewable fuels or solar energy.

These two new reactors are about 3 miles from my "home place" in Burke County Georgia. It will bring some much needed jobs to the area. Before construction began in the 70's for the 1st two reactors, we used to go 4-wheeling in the 'hole'. At the height of construction, my family's convenience store, across the road from the plant, had a Budweiser truck in the parking lot 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and someone stocking the cooler all day and all night.

Obama's budget proposal for 2011 would add $36 billion in new federal loan guarantees to $18.5 billion already budgeted but not spent -- for a total of $54.5 billion. The new $8.3 billion in federal loan guarantees will go toward the construction and operation of a pair of reactors in Burke County, Ga., by Southern Co.
