The article below is from the Pensacola Journal. Many of you know Cynthia. She is the nice girl that sells shrimp off the Cheri Dawn docked the bridge on 331. Cynthia and her sister Cheri are beautiful sweet girls from Freeport, their dad is Billy McLean of McLean's Well Drilling. Billy drilled many if not most of the wells in SoWal. Please join me in prayer for this family.
2 women injured critically in Saturday motorcycle crash
From staff reports ? September 14, 2008
Two women were critically injured Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle accident near Gonzalez when a truck pulled out in front of their Honda motorcycle, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
Cynthia Dillingham, 42, of Freeport and Cheri Shields, 40, of Cantonment were listed in critical condition at Sacred Heart Hospital. A dispatcher with Escambia County Emergency Medical Services said the women suffered "partial amputations" of their legs in the accident and were transported to the hospital by helicopter.
The women were riding the motorcycle west on Kingsfield Road about 1:13 p.m. The driver of Dodge truck, which had stopped at Ziglar Road, failed to see the motorcycle and pulled into the intersection directly in front of the two women. The truck struck the right side of the motorcycle, and both riders were thrown from the vehicle, the FHP reported.
The driver of the truck, Oliver Nellums, 72, and the passenger, Pam Erickson, 53, both of Pensacola, were not injured in the accident, FHP officials said.
Nellums was charged with failure to yield the right of way.

I am very happy to pass on this report to everyone Cynthia is doing much better and actually is out of her medically induced coma and participating in rehabilitation with the aid of a walker. Her spirits are up, her concerns are for her sister Cheri where it is still questionable on the outcome of her leg injuries. We continue to encourage you to keep them in your prayers.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge some unsung heroes, and that is Cynthia's coworkers at the South Walton Mosquito Control. Immediately after hearing of her accident, they went into high gear volunteering individual sick leave time so that she would not lose any of her benefits. This is an expression of love and appreciation to a fallen coworker. Again, my hat goes off to the fine professionals working for the South Walton Mosquito Control.
