Random Thoughts

I just went to the mall, AGAIN! Had to pick up my new glasses at Lenscrafters (wonder which bar I will lose these in? ). Took Mr. K with me. I bought my first pair of REAL sunglasses with my prescription in them. Mr. K actually asked me how much I spent (The nerve! ). I laughed and said..."all that money you were planning on retiring on." And, so it goes.....

Tell him it doesn't matter how much you spent--you look cute--priceless.

Yesterday my laptop decided to stop booting up for me after I was trying to figure out why my camera wouldn't load. Now all I get is a gray screen with the little wheelie thing that says it's trying to boot up...thank GAWD it's still under warranty. (Now I just have to figure out when this week I have time to sit on hold with the Powers That Be to get it fixed--grrr...)

I refused to let it ruin my peaceful Sunday afternoon. I popped in a movie, plopped on the couch, and checked up on you fine people...and my t.v. died...

If this keeps up, I'll be SoWalling by snail mail. (If I don't pull a gun on somebody first. This is traumatic.)

I'm with you. I'd love to stay and chat, but I have to go put some duct tape on my dishwasher handle opener thingy so I can get the clean dishes out. (this comes from Mr. A using the "beat it into submission" method of repair.) Save a bullet for me.

I work at a military school, and I've never even held a real gun. If I owned one, I'd shoot myself in the foot...

Nope....and I won't let him have a motorcycle, either. BTW...many attorneys in Texas practice without firearms these days.

I hear it's hard to aim accurately from a motorcycle anyway...I haven't attempted it myself...

We're in Ga. and we have a bunch of guns (I think we won most of them in D.U. raffles)--but we're like Barney Fife. No bullets. Which is a good thing.

When oh when is it going to be Fall??? I am soooooooo ready for some cool weather...

don't you know, if they are having a bad day, it justifies pointing the gun at people...

For those of you who have been trembling with anxiety over my terrible day:

First, the good news: After only about a minute on hold, I was connected to a very friendly fellow in India* who made my computer work from all the way across the world. At the beginning of the conversation, he said that he didn't usually talk to customers who were so cheerful about a crashed computer. I told him that my drains were all clogged and my t.v. blew up today--I was just excited that someone was helping me with anything! When my computer went from the gray screen of despair to the blue screen of hope, I almost hugged him through my cell phone.

The bad news: The t.v. is dead, and there's no such thing as the old cheap-o t.v.s anymore. I can either pay twice as much for a new t.v. that's half the size of the one I had, or pay 4 times as much for one I'll actually like. I reckon that's what credit cards are for.

More bad news: My tub is still throwing up when I do the laundry. The joys of home ownership!

The best news: I simply don't care anymore. G'night!



*I'm not being ugly--he asked me where I was, and I asked him where he was, and he was in India, and while we were waiting on stuff to load, etc., we had a lovely conversation about geography!

I don't like guns either. However I was very tempted when my friend offered me his pink pearl handled pistol to take out my ex. Apparently I had to kill him in style or he wouldn't approve.

Give him "what fer" Kitty. Oh, FYI, since I got bronchitis and they gave me this lovely cough medicine (not sure if it's real codeine or faux), I've been sleeping like a baby. One nice big glug before bed and it's nighty night til morning. Of course, I'm not going to mention how I'm functioning, or not, during the day.

Hope you find your perfect rememdy. No sleep= no fun.
