I totally get it now!!!! I discovered these (ghiradelli) a month or so ago. And when I follow the recipe of using 2 eggs they turn out a little cakey!!! I want chewy....from now on it's one egg!!!!!

I saw a bar cake pan (looks like a muffin pan excepts squares instead of circles) at Target the other day and thought how great it would be for individual brownies because you wouldn't have to cut them and they would have the crunchy chewy edge all around. The chewy edge is the only part of a brownie I like.

So do people down South put up snowmen as decorations at Christmas time? Or do you use pick flamingos? :dunno: ( this is really a serious question:D)

I don't see many christmas flamingos during christmas time in my town. If and when I do I will get some pics.

Whenever I see a semi/SUV with a holiday wreath on the grille I think they've just driven through a holiday display.

I have a mental image of them off-roading w/ snowmen and xmas lights flying about as they drive through someone's yard.

Actually, I think you just gave me a mental picture that will bring me great joy.

I want to see a great big SUV with mud grip tires and nine tiny reindeer strapped across it--the ninth one with a very shiny nose.

I also used to love the Calvin and Hobbes strips when Calvin would build the macabre snowmen. Once he built one splattered across the hood of his Dad's car, and another one standing by screaming. I laughed my arse off...

Calvin & Hobbes rocked! I decorated my first canoe paddle with a Hobbes and tiger stripes on the edges.

His snowmen were hilarious!

Neither. In our neighborhood we decorate the topiaries that stay on our front porches all year long with white lights. We either string fresh garland decorated with white lights around our front doors and on our galleries (if we have a plantation-styled house), or put unlighted wreaths on every window and door. We built a reproduction 1830's-style Louisiana plantation home designed by Samuel Wilson, Jr., of Koch & Wilson of New Orleans, so I light garland on the gallery.

No snowmen. No flamingos.

It depends on the person doing the decorating.

There are a lot of white lights, but there are also snowmen, a skiing polar bear, and giant soldiers/nutcrackers currently decorating 30-A for the holidays!

Ok...does anyone (over the age of 40) remember the milkman at Christmas time bringing those little ice cream creations called Snow Balls? They were vanilla ice cream covered in coconut. Did I just dream this?

Not in the ATL. Mathis Dairy delivered our milk, but they never left a gift. We left them a gift.

But then maybe we weren't one of their top customers.

We *were* embarrassed yesterday because we are one of the local Papa John's top customers, and they delivered a poinsettia to our house as a gift. Yeah, I know it's unhealthly to eat takeout pizza, but it's hard to work and grocery shop/cook meals/wash dishes/keep the house clean/pay bills/take care of a needy child/visit Mom in a nursing home that's an hour away/keep it between the lines.
