I don't suppose this is a random thought, but then again, it could be. We really need a "bragging" thread.
My son just found out today that he was named in our high school district as finalist in an instrumental concerto competition. He was the only one chosen out of his high school. All of the finalists (about 5 - 6 from the 6 area high schools) will perform at a recital in January, playing their concerto piece, judged, and one will be named a winner. They all receive a scholarship.
But it's not so much the $$, it's the final pay off from 6 months of hard work. Whew!
