I have a really bad cold and have been so busy with Sam's dance this year. She is in all 6 productions of Aladdin at the Palace Theater downtown. It's really taking it's toll. She's holding up fine. I'm falling apart. I feel like such a bad mom. Now I just found out my mom is in the hospital. At least she''s close now but I probably should go there b/c I'm sick. I just called but her phone was busy.

Good thing? Mr OL is off and can be in charge of b-day celebrating. Dylan got a new mountain bike from us and has his eye on a wave board with his birthday $. (skateboard street surfing thing)

I HAVE to got to work today b/c our VBS is next week and today is a "work day for voluteers" . It would look pretty bad if a paid staff member wasn't there too.

Did I mention today is so gorgeous and going to be 90!!! Grayt pool day and I'm missing it.

Okay, I'll stop pissin and moanin now.

Happy BD to Dylan!

And good luck with that laundry, Miss Kitty. I iron twice a year whether I have to or not. I still haven't ironed the table linens from Christmas dinner. :floor: If my husband wants something ironed, he does it himself -- I'm so bad at it because I don't have the patience. Otherwise, it gets sent to the cleaners.

That's unlike my sister who finds ironing therapeutic (even though she has household help to do it for her) and even irons the sheets when she's at the beach. :idontno:

so glad its summer and the routine of school is over for a while. nice to change up life for a few months, isn't it? happy summer! and nohall - stfu. I like it cold inside. especially at night time. but I do agree that some restaurants are ice boxes and that is downright ridiculous. Audie and I like it cold for the most part. we LOVE winter time! everyone else on here complains all winter long about the cold.

You're gonna have to define "stfu." All I know is "fu," and if you're "fu"ing me I'm going to burst into tears...

I'm mostly talking about the restaurant-type conditions you describe. If I come to your house and it's a gentle 68-72, I might ask you for a cozy little throw blanket, but I'd be happy.

Actually, I LIKE cold for the most part. I just don't like it when I don't have an extra layer of fleece handy and I'm not in a position to curl up in a blanket!

Mutt. Dad's Irish-American Indian, Mom's British-Canadian. But Mom was adopted, and her adoptive mother (of whom I speak) was of unknown North Georgian descent. Darling Christian woman who loved to say, "Well, s***." (No f-bombs; pretty tame.)

She also used to ask me to pull her finger every 5 minutes, then she'd giggle. I was in college before I figured out what she was doing...

I showed Dylan his birthday wishes! He loved it. The day turned out better than expected. Mom is out of the hospital, I didn't go to work, Mr OL baked Dylan a hot fudge cake, ( I'm feeling really rough still) Dylan's girlfriend:wub: (new development) came over with her friend and had the cake and ice cream with us along with a fire and roasted marshmallows. The kids played a game on the trampoline and had a blast. Dylan went to bed very happy.

Because they have built some really nice multi-use parks firsts, with playgrounds, picnic areas, etc. that a broader spectrum of the community uses. Which is why we are going for a playpark first here is SoWal. Some sort of skate park is needed here, but one like Milton's is a big undertaking financially and legally since their are so many rules and liability issues.

Freeport, baby, Freeport. I think the County Commissioners are hearing comments on the Freeport City Park on Monday evening.
