Why is it that when I'm pouring wine for other people, I can squeak out about 5-6 glasses per 750ml bottle, but when I'm pouring for myself, I can barely get three glasses out of the same bottle? :idontno:

Perhaps you are a selfish wino? :idontno:

GOING BACK TO THE GYM TOMORROW.

It's time to start burning off some excess me after a 5-week hiatus due to my "mystery virus." (Today I found out for sure that it is not mono, which is good. But that also means that we still don't know what it is. Bleh.)

Why was I built like an aircraft carrier instead of like a willow?

Darwinism - willows don't have the stamina for when the going gets tough!

I don't think he is - he's divorced after 8+ years of marriage and has 2 kids. Not exactly compelling evidence but no "confirmed bachelor".

Who cares, eye candy is eye candy!

Life in Sowal is certainly rough! Can think of few places where your daily commute is 20 minutes ........... and has views of the beach and deer and herons along the road.

I gotta say that based on that, I live in paradise, too! My commute to work is 10-15 minutes tops. (School takes about 40 minutes; oh, well.) I usually see deer, foxes, and groundhogs on the way. (I have seen a heron once or twice, though!) Instead of the beach, I have the Blue Ridge.

I love the beach, but, Scooter, you just reminded me how good I have it here!

That is indeed what I call a poke weed. My grandmother would cook 'em when they were little, but they're just giant weeds when they get bigger than your hand.

Those berries will stain your clothes, hands, etc. (So keep your etc. away from them to avoid embarrassing questions.)

The number for the cashier's office at my school is 706-778-3000. Will you please give them a call for me?

Yea; it is poke salad weed :rolling: My pawpper used to pull over on the highway in TX, and OK and dig this weed up then bring it home and cook it:puke: ""The poke weed, known for its poisonous roots, was particularly prized because it was the one weed that mother liked to cook with her meat. And because of the danger of harvesting a bit of the poison-filled root, she wouldn't trust anybody but herself to gather those "asparagus" shoots of the poke. I don't recall how mother cooked the poke shoots. I just know they were delicious.""""

More here for you all who remember this delicatessen
