Some of you wanted me to remind you to watch Survivor tonight and see my brother-in-law, Jon Penner who is a contestant. It's a controversial show because the director divided the contestants into teams based on race. I saw my brother-in-law on a CNN video on Yahoo today and he had a few comments about this. So, I don't know if he's going to be portrayed as a good guy or bad guy or something else, but it will be interesting...
I won't see it until later tonight after the show because I have a school event that I have to go to. Oh well.

It was funn to watch him. We're so proud of him for getting on the show! He got a lot of face time on the show, so that's good for him. Too bad he got sent to exile island for two days for stealing a chicken
... I still can't quite tell how he's going to play out his role completely. He does have a fantastic voice. Anyway, since our kids share some of his genes, does that mean they'll grow up to be chicken-stealers, too?

Are there live chickens in SoWal anywhere? You all better hide them when we come to town.

Paula, Jonathon said it was a free chicken not belonging to anyone at the moment so I didn't see anything wrong with that. He's a strong player so it was actually a good strategic move for them to send Jonathon to exile island. He's smart and I'm betting he'll find the idol. Too bad the chickens got lost though!!! What was that girl thinking?
There are some good looking guys this time so that's nice.
Ozzy is adorable and one of my favorites so far.

I missed the first part, so wasn't sure who I was looking for. I came in at the immunity challenge. When they pick J for exile, I thought...I bet that is him! I was right...which means I saw little of him. Keep reminding us to watch...!

Yes, I thought so as well! It was driving me crazy trying to figure out who he sounded like but eventually figured it out. I guess it helps that I had watched an Everybody Loves Raymond re-run the night before.

We're looking forward to the next episode to see how Jon uses his time in exile. Thanks for watching him, too. He had about 50 - 75 people at his house last night to watch with the family and it was his 15th year wedding anniversary with Stacy, too. He's a very good family-man. Our family is sure having a lot of fun with this.

Hey Paula, we haven't watched Survivor for several years, but when I told my daughter that your daughter's uncle was on the show, she HAD to watch. I guess we'll be addicted to it this season  . I hope Jonathon does well--he is a likeable person.

Hey CCK: Our kids had a blast watching the show with their friends. I think there were about 8 kids over the house last night (lots of chips and dip and brownie crumbs on the floor...) and then Jon called while the kids were watching the show to surprise them and their friends. They thought that was a hoot.

How cool is that for your kids!!! Waaay cool.

We'll be eating delivery Chinese food and watching Survivor tonight. I think many people will be watching Grey's Anatomy instead (though I think that will usually be on at 9:00, after Survivor). Hope Jonathan gets off exile island with some interesting stories to tell (though it's a tiny island and I'll bet not much happens there) and is welcome back with open arms.

I will be on the road but I am tivoing (is that a word?) it for sure. I am a MAJOR survivor fan....

I'm glad you're a fan, InletBeachDweller, because most people are fans of Grey's Anatomy, though next week I don't think it will compete with Survivor. I may try watching both next week and having a TV night.

Let's just say that it's a good thing the DVR lets you record two things at once. Although Survivor won't compete with Grey's- they're on at different times. I think almost every night is a tv night here Paula.

I feel like I am a contestant on Survivor about 3 days every month.

Hate it when that happens. We missed the Big Brother finale like that. Checking your forum account
