And with 10,000 boomers now turning 65 daily, the need for legislative abortion reform is increasingly urgent :sarc:

Step away from the viagra Senator... the little head can fog the focus

I wish they would focus on an issue of substance - instead of taking away necessary health procedure options for women.

Note the use of the word necessary - because one of the dumb parts of this bill is to penalize insurance policies that cover the procedure EVEN WHEN IT IS MEDICALLY NECESSARY.

Not when it is elective, but when you literally HAVE to get one or die.

To paint anti-abortionists as ALL conservatives is a misconception. Not all conservatives are anti-abortionists anymore than all liberals are anti-...wait, all liberals are anti something or other. So are conservatives. Well, now that we have solved that problem, on to the important ones like creating jobs, limiting government and reducing spending.

This is part of a long stream of legislation designed to fix various problems with ObamaCare. The 1099 fix is also coming up.

Budgetary issues will start after Obama presents his next budget and the debt ceiling vote will play a role as well. As far as jobs go, removing regulation and decreasing federal debt are a big part of that.

Generally I think criticizing what they've been up to during their first two weeks in office might be a bit premature. Especially considering they took a week off out of respect for Giffords. mkay?

Word on the street is that the President's budget will be a little late this year. It's typically released the first Monday in Feb. The ongoing Continuing Resolution and no decision on the current fiscal year is throwing a monkey wrench in next year's planning. Regardless, the late delivery will likely be used to sling mud on everyone.

Then they will look at covering themselves in bullet proof pexiglass and then pass a tax cut for those making more than a million $ and then pass the 1000ft. gun radius bill that protects only them and then pass another tax cut for the wealthy and then investigate Obama for who the hell knows and then pass another tax cut for the wealthy then Boehner will get another tan etc, etc.

Republix are adamant about just focusing on the lame message(s) that they "think" their constituents voted them in on. They would actually prefer things like unemployment figures to be high going forward and have Obama look bad, so they can plan their victory parties in 2012--they really don't care anything about Mr and Mrs. Joe Plumber, and their immediate problems.

Some people just don't get it. It's not what they think it's exactly what the people want. That's why you had one of the largest landslides in a Century. So long as the left doesn't get it they will continue to lose. They have two years to get with the program.

Before, during, and after that "landslide" they polled people - and the voters overwhelmingly and clearly stated what their priorities were and why they voted that way.

It's the economy stupid.
