One of our pitchers (Josh Hancock ) was killed in a car accident last night, I was at the cards-cubs game yesterday and saw him pitch, never thinking that it would be the last time................he was only 29 years old. The cardinals have cancelled the game for tonight and more details to follow about his death, what a shame such a young mans life had to be cut short.

That is sooo sad. I got bummed when I saw the names and ages rolling by on the screen this AM that died this week fighting for our country. Wonder if alcohol was involved? Regardless it is a loss of a young life and yes it is sad. Sorry for you card fans and his family and loved ones.

Haven't had the TV on today, so I don't even think Mr. Pod knows. We had tickets to the game yesterday but ended up giving them away. Such sad news.

Josh played at Auburn, and before that at my high school under Sammy Dunn. He was part of that dynasty that won the 8 state championships in a row.

I about lost is this morning when I heard that - my family have been huge supporters of the team since my father and his brothers workds at Bush 40+ years ago. Cards could not have won the worldseries last year with out him for sure. Huge loss to the Cards. Thoughs and prayers to his friends and family.
