So far the people I've asked know nothing about it and have reservations for 40 for tonight. :idontno:

They suggested someone actually CALL SALLY and check it out instead of perpetuating the usual 30a gossip mill. (I tried to call her and the number is busy for some ODD reason).

STRAIGHT FROM SALLY HERSELF!!!

They are open for business and have never had a problem w/ the noise ordinance!

Someone complained about their remodeling project and got it stopped recently - that might be how this RUMOR got started!

30a "chinese whispers"

Sallys is open. Is not closing. Not likely to close, unless Sally wants to naturally

Best advice: Call the store and ask for the step by step facts

The bottom line here is, there is apparantly a certain person who lives behind Sallys who prefers for no bars or restuarants to open in Blue Mountain
Thus:
Complains to the County at every opportunity about any kind of nit pick that can be sought out in oridinances about parking, or noise or whatever they can in order to shut down or prevent places from opening.
This is also not limited to Blue Mountain Beach. Stinkys and Lake place and as we all know, the Salty Dog have all had the same kind of harrasment.

Until these people ar taken to task to enlighten them into whats fair and equitable for people to do business, employees to be able to WORK in this economic climate then these kinds of attacks will continue
I for one am not in favor of a minority or one or two ditcating what the majority of people want and need in this community

It is excellent to see JC off the Hook RE-open in the old Nicks
Its excellent to see McTighes RE-open where the Grand Vin was
Its excellent to see Sallys expand an EXISTING business that has been an institution for YEARS
It WAS excellent to see the Salty Dog RE-open (when it did then was shut down in the same manner atempts are being made nowto close others)

Notice all these are REOPENING

So its not like this is expansion or new or anything crazy like a Club Vela to disturb the local community peace

This is a version of terrorism in my book. Taking away peoples jobs and livelyhood perhaps resulting in them being homeless is a disgusting act

If formal complaints are being made, then they should be pubic record, or there should be records somewhere. I want to see them, dont you?

Those of us who live and work on 30a need to rise up against this nonsense

If there needs to be a debate, lets have it through the proper channels

To the persons causing this upset, stop using tax payers money to front your agenda
Stand up for yourself in the public domain not in the shadows
Last time I checked this was still a Democracy, where the MAJORITY :bang:
rules

Salty Dog is reopening?

You missed the WAS
past tense since it reopened then influenced by local resident to close, not due to music, but by people talking on their porch
