Just popped in to say hi and bye. Headed out for Colorado with the boy and his hockey team for a 4 day tournament. Wish us luck! This week has been soooo busy. Too much has been going on (good and bad). Please say a little prayer for my Mammy (grandma). She is not doing well, which makes it really hard for me to leave town. I am on an emotional roller coaster. Flying won't make it any easier (hate it). Heck, say a little prayer for me too! I need it. I'm taking my laptop, so maybe I'll check in. I have missed you guys and gulls this week! I'll never be able to read through all these threads and catch up. Take care! :wub:

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I made it back in one piece. The tournament went well and all the boys had a great time. My grandma is still hanging on but there is no improvement and I don't know how much longer she will be with us. She is a strong women. I can't imagine not being able to see her again. In the mean time I will go see her as much as possible. I'm not even sure she knows I'm there, but I want to think she does. I hope everyone is doing fine. I will post when I can. :wub:

Keep talking to her. My Mother in law had alzheimers and hadn't spoken in months. I would go and sit by her bed and do my "monologue". One day I told her I had spoken to my niece (her grand daughter) and she looked at me for the first time in months and said "Jenny". I couldn't believe it. That was all she said - but it gave me incentive to keep talking to her. She died about a week later.

On some level, she know's you're there CoS. I was very close to both of my Grandmothers. One died when I was very young, the other one passed away when my daughter was 5 mos. old. I still miss them both so much. I have so many happy memories of them both though. I will have you and your grandma in my thoughts and prayers every day! :wub:

i'm glad you have a wonderful grandmother - mine is the anti-grandmother so treasure what you have. actually mine is more like beelzebub in an old lady's body. :lol: you will have wonderful memories - i know i do of my papaw, i still miss him and it has been 8 yrs.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you all know I appreciate your prayers. My Mammy passed yesterday. I'm doing ok. I went through tons of pictures yesterday and thought about all the great times I had with her. I had so much fun with her when I was a child. I was amazed at how a picture could make me remember things I had not thought of in so long. I am so glad she was my Mammy. She taught me so many things that make me who I am today. She was a wonderful lady. The funeral will be this Thursday, so please keep me and mine in your prayers. Thanks!
