The beach rental down the street (a smallish 3-bedroom) has 8, count 'em, 8 cars out front. Should I worry about a loud party sometime this week?

Or more likely, the Stone Cold Steve Austin Society. 😀

What I find works the best is go down and introduce yourself...

It may not be all bad. Our "last week springbreakers" were approximately 10 girls, very well behaved and when the left, they knocked on our door and left us a dozen eggs. It was a very nice gesture.

Drove past a house in Seagrove yesterday that looked like a landfill had been started out front. We then proceeded to the Red Bar where we watched a spring break "mom" order about 6 shots. It's here and I'm already over it.

Spring break scares me. The ratio of adults to teenagers is out of wack! I prefer the summer when the ratio is more like 2 grandparents+2parents:2kids.

We dared walk down to Grayton Beach yesterday afternoon. This krewe wins the dumbazz award. This SUV which has no beach permit (that I could see) came up the access going at least 30 MPH while there were people mingling about. Then the car stops and at least 10 people ranging in age from 50s to tweens pile out like clowns. ANyone know them?

Just curious, but is there an increased police presence during the spring break weeks?

I don't know. Heard lots of sirens about 9 p.m. so hope it wasn't too serious. However, went out on the back porch a little bit later to look at the stars and was pleasantly surprised the lake was exceptionally peaceful. A few extra lights in houses around the lake. But, very nice. All I could hear were the waves, frogs and peaceful sounds. So, hope Treefrog has a nice, beautiful night.
