I spent the day cleaning barf and pooh from a sick dog, and now my sweet hubby, who is NEVER sick, has a virus. I just spent the last 20 minutes cleaning the bathroom, walls , floor and vanity. Now I am sitting here praying I do not get it. :bang: I feel queazy.....Is it in my mind or real???

Well, mr. iwiwt there is not doing well. It has subsided some, but still really sick. I am getting ready to Lysol everything I sight. I took my nausea medicine and seem to be okay....let it continue. Time to sanitize this house!

Two days ago my aunt, uncle and two cousins announced that they had the stomach virus. Yesterday morning my aunt developed kidney stones and called my mom to take her to the hospital because she was in major pain! Well, when my mom went to get her they got about three miles from my aunt's house and the pain progressed and they had to pull into a nearby fire station and take my aunt to the hospital by ambulance--for kidney stones. I knew that those hurt but, I didn't know that they were that brutal.

I hope everyone feels better, especially as we approach Christmas.

DId your aunt have a fever as well? Mr. IWIWT is resting at the moment which is good. House is sanitized except where he is sleeping. I forgot how much effort goes into really cleaning....may need a nap this afternoon.

I think my house keeper needs a raise. She works really hard! Having my house cleaned is my only luxury as long as I have a child in college.

 MAN-go who never catches anything was up at 2:30 am and again at 4 am with the stomach bug and shivers. He left for work at 6 am and came home at noon. Jumped right into bed which is not like him.

Misery loves company so I will report that Merman told me to stay at the far end of the bed last night lest I catch his sniffles. Sniffles are very annoying to listen to. Make that highly annoying.

And yes, I have no bedside manner. It's a well-known fact. :(

How is MAN-go? Mine is still quite sick....nope at the 24 hour mark the fever breaks. If not I think he has the flu!

Try to stay healthy and enjoy the next few days.

Thanks for your concern. Mr. is much better, sitting up watching Fox news adn reading the paper. Just a miserbale 24 hour bug. I have cleaned (lots of accident) until I believe no germ could survive.
My daughter purchased economy soze Germ-X and Lysol wipes. SHe has no intention of being sick.

The youngest brought home friends last night....yeah, kids do not worry about catching things. It was nice to have the house filled with laughter. Mr. just slept through it all:blink:

Money cannot buy the feeling of love that was here last night. That is the best Christmas gift of all!!

Glad he's better. I'm sure Lysol stock has soared with all these germs going around.
Your Christmas sounds wonderful! Enjoy!!

MAN-go was much improved today, and ate at least 5 of the seven fishes tonight, as well as poked his finger in anything I baked today.

Glad Mr. IWIWT is better as well. Now I think I hear Santa.....better go shut my eyes. ;-)

A happy cootie free Xmas to all!

Just popping out of lurkdom to say...
The puking virus that's going around seems to be some form or Noro-virus (think: cruise ship). We were at a holiday party a couple weeks ago and everyone at the party except me got sick and then consequently spread it through their families as well.
Anyhow... my point is. Noro-virus (Norwalk) can only be killed with *bleach*. Lysol doesn't kill it. Lysol can kill Rotavirus (which both of my kids had two weeks ago), but not Noro. So mix up some bleach and water and hit all the high contact spots in your house. Get some Clorox wipes and wipe down things like the shopping cart handle before touching.
Two people at that holiday party were admitted to the hospital, they're ok now though. What a disaster!
My Seagrove grandparents got it along with a visiting aunt, after my mom sister, and DH got over it. They missed Christmas :(
