I do not own a gun, nor do I own fur, but that does not make me dislike any one who does! People have been wearing fur for thousands of years...are you saying they were wrong too? It is no different than raising chickens, cows or pigs ...:idontno: Every one has an opinion, and they are entitled to it but that does not give allowance for mud slinging.

If any of you ever want to go to a fashion show, NY or LA Fashion Weekk, Just let me know. And you can keep wearing fur.

I mean the Kitty was in Neiman's and told the guy in the fur vault that her name was Miss Kitty.

No, I wear vegan clothing often, but I still have a cow fur wallet. Birkenstock even makes synthetic faux leather shoes.

Now just avoid eating jello, and anything made with gelatin.

I think plants are too overlooked. What about all the plants that we kill to eat?

i respect all animals - except raccoons - they are useless. and snakes. they scare me....

what purpose does a raccoon serve anyway, other than to get in my trash and crap all over my deck ?

Obviously if you need meat to live..so be it... but people that enjoy killing and skinning the animal have problems. If you use the entire animal for your survival that is one thing, but to skin a fox or chinchilla just to have a pretty coat and throw the rest away is disgusting. am I wrong?

There is some merit to that which you are saying, but I am curious, are you a vegan? Do you own any leather?

My thoughts exactly SJ. I do not know many people that are true vegans, wear nothing made from some type of animal or an animal byproduct . :idontno:

I think you have made some good points about the use of animals for luxury purposes. but, we all do it (well, most of us do anyway). we always have... and probably will for a long time to come. but that doesn't make it the right thing to do...

there are many things about how animals are treated while raising/processing mass quantities for food, etc. we don't like to think about it. but, maybe we should. fur is just another product, and has been for a gazillion years. is it right or wrong? I don't know... but I don't think its a priority matter compared to so many other wrongs in this world... in other words, it's not important to me (but I'm just one person).

Do you really think that people who raise the animals for the skins, "enjoy killing and skinning?" I assure you, it is all about the money. If the money was as good and it were legal, they would probably just as likely kill the rich ladies who are begging for the fur.
