I bought a Hobie Kona from Jim at the Big Kayak Sale. SJ said he might take it out for a test run. Gotta make sure it floats . Don't want to put the fam in danger

Since I picked it up, I have not had a chance to get to the beach, but maybe soon, I will get there and see how she rides.

I like this challenge. Mermy v. RO...Biking Beer Race. We can sit in our cars on the side of the road and they have to stop and chug a beer before continuing on. The last stop will be the paramedic truck.

The kayak is a light tangerine color and the paddles are "electric plum" in color. So look out Pink Paddlers! Didn't they tell you the reason for the discount? Jim said that he mentioned it to you. just kidding, the paddles are black, not electric plum, but they do look fast enough to challenge the Pink Paddlers. ;-)

Edit that, it appears that the kayak is "Golden Papaya" color.

This example below is not golden papaya, but it is the boat, I think, unless this one is a double 0 7 model (2007). Otters is a 2006. You can see the speedy paddles in the photo and the seat backs, too.
