Skilled Project Draftsman

Southern Lines Design is looking to hire a skilled draftsman who is experienced in CAD/Revit. Residential design experience is a plus! We are eager to find someone who can manage projects from start to finish and be involved in all aspects of design. The candidate will work closely alongside our team of architects and designers to bring projects from concept to completion. Ultimately, you’ll help us design functional yet beautiful structures in the southeast region.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Prepare both rough sketches and detailed work with CAD systems.
• Regularly communicate with the Southern Lines team, and incorporate knowledge gained into drawings.
• Prepare, review, and redraft alongside the team.
• Ensure final designs are compliant with building regulations and standards.
• Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team.
• Assist supervisor with various administrative duties.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask on multiple projects
• Demonstrate organizational and follow-up capabilities.
• Maintain accountability and delivery on deadline commitments and quality.
• Communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Oral communication skills; upward communications.
• Show attention to detail, quality work products, and client service.
• Ability to work independently.

Qualifications:

• 2-year Associates in drafting/design or related program
• 1-year of AutoCAD Drafting experience (school experience counts)
• Desire to work in the Architectural Design market
