My first thoughts are how will we visit Mom? How will the newlyweds get from here to Alpharetta to visit his family?

I know that most people dream of a white Christmas. I'll just enjoy it and be glad that we will have the newlyweds all to ourselves!

BR, as long as it only snows you should not have a problem. It was the ice that always closed down the city when i lived there, and that was funn too!

I think the interstates and main roads will be okay. It's the other streets that I worry about.

As a kid growing up in Atlanta, I always looked forward to snow so I could get out of school and play in the snow.

There is snow forecast for St. Louis on Christmas Eve--I don't know anyone that's dreaming about it.

I am sure we won't get much snow in Atlanta -- but just the thought of seeing the snow flakes fall on christmas day is magical!

BTW - I went to the "snow" at Atlantic Station tonight. Really disappointing. . . .

That's too bad. And I'm sure that fighting the traffic just to get there didn't add to the enjoyment of your evening.

We had a white Christmas in GA! Very pretty when we woke up this AM.

Yesterday was kind of like the movie Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. The newlyweds got to his parents' home in Alpharetta and realized that she had forgotten her meds here. It wasn't safe to drive far, so they drove to the North Springs MARTA station and got on the train to the ATL airport station while we drove there to meet them. After the handoff we drove to Newnan to visit Mom. Pretty hectic, but we got it done.😀

It was really pretty driving at night with the snow coming down and seeing the fresh snow on the roadsides. More snow today.
