Sorry this took so long...

Hello,

I've been a member for a while, but I never took the time to say hello. I'm finally giving into the "We're sad you've never posted on our site before!" notice that I see every time I login. I apologize for lurking so long and never contributing.

So let me introduce myself. I'm a Walton county native. I've grown up living in DeFuniak Springs, with most of my free time spent somewhere in south Walton. I fell in love with Walton county at an early age. My mother, another native, should be thanked for this. As a child she had me at the beach almost every weekend during the summer. This soon became a habit that only progressed as I got older.

I'll try to keep this short. During my high school years I spent my summers working in Seaside. After graduation I attended a local community college instead of one of the state's four-year universities. I got side tracked a few credit hours short of my A.A. degree and enrolled in a vocational program. I then spent almost three years working for one of the counties local governmental agencies. An experience that made reading a lot of posts on the forum very enjoyable, particularly all the different view points. Now in my mid twenties, I have left the county job and made the transition back to full-time student.

So hello, and thanks to all the active posters who have made this forum what it is today. I promise I'll make an effort to contribute.
