Thank you to the 1,100 individuals who joined us at Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar for the South Walton Fire District 2026 Polar Bear Plunge on January 1. It is safe to say that we rinsed off the old and welcomed the new year with plenty of Florida flare, including great beach weather…
We want to give a shoutout to the SWFD Beach Safety Division, whose lifeguards kept all participants safe, as well as the Walton County Sheriff's Office, Florida posse members who assisted with traffic control for the event.
Your support of this event means SWFD will have the ability throughout the year to host free classes and provide free public safety materials to the community! Please stay tuned to SWFD social media for updates related to the Free Community CPR Classes.
