I am having a hard time finding the information (imagine that about soccer), but looks like the SWHS girls are doing their part to make our South Walton Community proud by winning The District!!
You Go Girls!
Sounds like the girls have taken this Mia Hamm, the great former US Womens Soccer Player, quote to heart, “I am building a fire, and everyday I train, I add more fuel. At just the right moment, I light the match.”
Look forward to following the action as they light the match at Regionals!

Not District Champs, but Runners-Up. Still, well done lasses. Give 'em hell at the Regionals!!
From the NorthWest Florida Daily: "Pensacola Catholic 1, South Walton 0: The second-seeded Seahawks (8-6-2) lost a heartbreaker Friday in the District 1-3A tournament finals.
Top-seeded Pensacola Catholic scored in the first half, and that goal stood up.
With its runner-up finish, South Walton advances to regional play. The Seahawks will play Thursday at Florida High."

An improbable comeback from 2-0 down to tie it and send it to extra time and then a shootout. A undoubtedly heart-breaking loss in the shootout.
BUT, the Greater South Walton Community could not be prouder!!!

BIG round of applause to our South Walton Seahawks Soccer Girls, and to Coach Blaine. Well done, and what a foundation for the future!
[If any of the girls want to relax, play recreationally, keep their touch and fitness (and maybe plan their revenge!), US98 Soccer would love to have them this Spring. We already have quite a few middle school and high school girls signed up, and I know of a few more who will be joining us. Sign-ups continue through Valentine's Day!]
