Does anyone know of any public tennis courts we can use during our trip next week? We are staying at Watersound. They have courts there, but we are not paying for club access this time. Thanks

Define Public.
Seriously though I don't know of any public courts in South Walton. You're most likely going to have to pay, but might find cheaper at Seaside or Watercolor. I believe there are a few at Frank Brown Park which is the public park just north of Pier Park.

Thank you. I don't mind paying a little, just want to play a few times.

Hammock Bay in Freeport has really nice public courts.

There were tennis courts available at the Santa Rosa Golf Club as well. I don't know if they are still in operation or not. Call Santa Rosa Beach Golf Shop to check. They were nice courts but there was a charge to use them.

I like the loose interpretation of "public" tennis courts.
For the record, Hammock Bay's tennis courts are not public. However, the ones at the regional sports complex just down the street are public. (this is located in Freeport).
There are no public tennis courts in South Walton, but there are several private courts which aren't being used.
Look for some pay per use courts.

They are still in operation, the only thing affected by the renovation was the beach club. There is a charge for non-members.

The Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club has only one court that is playable and it is not in the best of shape. They will probably be removing it soon.
