As I read [ame="http://www.sowal.com/bb/showthread.php?t=5543"]this thread[/ame] I wondered who uses anti-spam software and if so, what type? After a lot of research, I found one that I'm very pleased with and it integrates seamlessly with my email program. It's virtually 100% effective since it operates from a 'white list' Click here for details

Re: Spam: how are YOU dealing with it?
i will have mr audie check your link out. our norton anti-spam works pretty good on our desktop, but not at all on my laptop. it worked fine for about 3 days, then stopped, even tho the settings weren't changed :idontno: mr audie keeps asking me what i did to it.

I use yahoo mail and it works very well, fighting spam along the way. You do have to train spam blockers, such as yahoo mail, to recognize spam. It works so well that I only occasionally have one sneak in to my inbox, and when spam enters my inbox, I simply mark it as spam (training) so that it can recognize similar mail as spam next time. Very simple and free. 😀

What SJ said. I am very loyal to Yahoo for this reason (I spend a little $ every year to have a bigger mailbox). No spam issues. They even differentiate between the mass mailings I want (New Sale at Pottery Barn Kids!) and the ones I don't (ViAgRa and CiAliS). :clap_1:
I've heard good things from friends who use web-based email programs like Yahoo. And I hear Earthlink and Google's Gmail are also very good at filtering Spam.
For those who use Outlook, Qurb is the best Spam Blocker I've found anywhere.
