frankly just pisses me off, not to mention putting me in a really sucky mood. I hate coming home in the dark. I hate that the day is over at 6:00 pm. I KNOW that it's better for the kids to go to school in the daylight, but I don't have little kids and mine never walked to school anyway, so whatever. I want to go back to daylight in the afternoons--in fact, I want to go back to summer. Don't get me wrong, I do love a little crispness in the air, and the autumn colors are beautiful, but I figure all that's coming is just some cold, rainy crap. In Texas, we don't have much of a fall and spring and although they're delightful, they are truly short lived. That leaves summer and winter and since Audie's not here to argue the virtues of winter, I'll say that summer beats it hands down. Give me summer and long days any time. Thank you for letting me vent..I think I do this every year.

I like that I wake up before my alarm because it's light out..................I hate that it's dark SO early.

Realistically we could change the time by a couple hours so it got dark at like 7 or 8 pm now since I am SO not a morning person.

And 98 is just chock full of deer!

I really have mixed feelings about all of it. I refuse to use an alarm as to me it's just plain unnatural. So, waking up with the sun is much better me. I like it getting dark at 9:20-9:30. Right now, getting leaves up has to be done by 5:30 and I just don't have time to do that right now. <sigh>

Amen, DD!

What I hate is in SoWal in December around my birthday the sun sets at about 4:43 PM.😱 So we pretend pretend we are in GA when we are there in the winter.

It's even worse in Boston from my experiences visiting daughter in the winter -- it would get dark at 4 PM!😱😱 Too depressing. Then the sun would rise at the butt-crack of dawn and wake me up too early. ARGH!

I'm with you on this one, DD. Hate the time change. Perhaps it is time to revisit and reevaluate.

Lets all rebel and just not change any of our clocks or watches :yikes:. In this case you would be early for everything. Better than being late. 😀

I admit that I have kept the clock by my bed, which is turned in the other direction, on Daylight Savings Time. When I get awake, I feel like I am behind only to stroll into the kitchen and see that I am way ahead.

Wonder why I am always late, though? :idontno:

Why exactly do we need Daylight Savings time anyway? :idontno:

I think it should go buh-bye!

Sunrise should be 5:30, siesta from 2-4, sunset at 9:30. I think you have to live in 2 hemispheres to get this year round.

Yeah it does. I think I said I'd quit complaining about it, but I can agree with y'all all (short) day long. That makes me agreeable and pleasant, right?

Last week, I had a hard time getting awake before 8 because it was still grey/darkish. Hopefully, tomorrow I can be on time.......no likey dark early, but the positive twist is that the shortest day of the year is right around the corner! ;-)
