When is all the craziness going to end...people getting shot, drugs and precription med. overdoses, parents killing their children and children killing parents, etc.... etc....etc. I wonder what this will come to? :idontno:

I so hate to hear this. I really liked Steve McNair. I wonder if it was a jealous boyfriend/husband thing, him being caught with this woman, the reason they were both dead, whether he owned the place, whether drugs were involved. So sad! :cry:

Authorities are hinting strongly that this is a murder suicide. Mc Nair still has a house in Nashville were his wife and children stay most of the time. He also owns a couple of condo's around Nashville. He split time between Nashville and his home in Mississppi.This is very sad Mc Nair highly thought of in the community, seemed very nice and cordial the few times I had the pleasure to be around him. He will be missed.

I got the impression LE was hinting at a suicide-murder. This young woman appears to have a close friend. This is what LE said at the PC. The officer,Don Aaron, speaking at the PC said they were not ruling anything out.

If it was a murder / suicide, she did it. He had multiple gunshot wounds, and she had only one...

there is a post from a while back where I tell ya'll about almost running over McNair in Franklin, TN. He lived in the neighborhood where my brother lived, pulling out of his driveway which had a lot of shrubbery, you can't see the road until you pull way forward. While pulling out to see the road I almost ran over a jogger....guess who it was??? McNair. When I described him to my brother he knew who it was. If I had hit him, my brother said he would have to put me in hiding. this was a night before a big game.

Also, almost ran over Jimmy Buffet in Seaside about 15 years ago. So watch out........

Definitely a very tragic story, he has 4 children. Obviously he was estranged from his wife, she stated she had not seen him in days.

The young woman was only 20 and was arrested for DUI earlier this week in Nashville driving an SUV owned by her and McNair.

The Nashville police stated at this time there are no other suspects that as Singinchicken said he had multiple gun wounds, she one, and the gun was found near her.

Sadly sounds like a love affair gone wrong. I have a close friend with FBI and he stated that usually this is a situation where the one killed tries to break it off with the one that commits suicide.

Just a very sad week in the news. :(

This just breaks my heart. Mr. JR has a little 10 year old nephew with autism, whose last name is also McNair. He is crazy about football and someone gave him a McNair jersey for Christmas a few years ago. I hate to think about what this is doing to him. :(

I just hate that a nice guy, took a wrong turn somewhere and in the process lost his life and 4 children lost a father and someone lost a young daughter, it is all very tragic.

I made a special effort to attend the Alcorn/Jackson State game his senior year. As he walked from locker room to bus,I got a program signed . He almost signed with USM ( his home is just up the road from Hattiesburg) anyway he went to Alcorn as his older brothers and other family members had done.
