I know there is a loophole in the Do Not Call list for politicians, but this is freaking ridiculous.

Rick Scott and Jeff Greene (or their friends) have now robocalled me so many pucking times that I have heard from them more than Mama Scooterbug and Grandma Scooterbug combined this year!

Rick Scott has called 7 times so far today.

I feel your pain. An accurate count is in the vicinity of 40 calls two weeks ago from candidates.

ditto, the RNC and the RGA can go to hell. I have their shpeel memorized, I know exactly what to say and when to make the call the shortest possible without being rude.

No, these are all computerized calls - no humans.

I think that the rule needs to be amended so that they can only call one time for the primary and once for the regular, and a human must make the call.

Almost broke the phone when Palin called to tell me how to vote. 😱

I wonder how you got on their lists. I haven't received any robo calls from either.

Scooter, you'll stop getting calls if you sit it out the election this November.

are you registered with a party? I'm registered independent so I can't vote in the primary.

Really? That's a great way to get people to not vote..... I thought they pulled voter registration records.

I simply plug my phone to a fax machine during times like this. Only rings twice and they get the shrill tone in their ears or dialing equipment.

Nice try! I have voted in every major election since I turned 18. I was raised right! (And I voted 2 weeks ago so I didn't have to deal with this sheet any longer.)

Yes, I changed it last year so I could vote in the primary. They hassled me when I was independent too.

Scooty ~ you said something awhile back about NOT voting for any candidate that pulls stupid campaign stunts like this...
That stance REALLY spoke to me!
I'm soooo sick of these robo-calls.

There is an app you can get for a jailbroken iPhone called blacklist that only allows numbers from your contact list to call through! It's awesome if you occasionally screen your calls or have no desire to talk to strangers.... 😉

when you register with a party, they are pretty insistant that you give them your phone number. I didn't give them mine, and I have received zero calls. Just be glad you weren't one of the millions who received Obama's call at 1am back when he ran for President. Oops.

The way voter scoring works you would have to sit out a high turnout election several times to get your score low enough not to be contacted.

They match white pages with names and addresses the best they can to come up with the call lists, and it will probably only get worse.

Send me a PM of your phone number scooter and I will put you in the local do not call list so we don't bother you for November. Not saying you won't get called, but I will keep your number out of anything I do for people so it may cut it down a call or two.

So happy no one has my number 😱

Try google voice that'll take care of the pests ;-)

You can accomplish this without jailbreaking your I-phone with a workaround. I have a developer working on building an app for me that implements the workaround on your Iphone. The app will be free. Ping me if you want the workaround before the app is available...

So nice and peaceful today! 😀

And while that app sounds like a good idea, it's a real pain in the arse when you are legitimately calling someone and that app doesn't let you through!
