Will not happen. They are as sheltered as can be and I like it that way for now. Hadn't thought about the preview thing ... yet another reason not to go.
Meantime, hubby and I can't wait to see Talladega Nights! Ricky Bobby.![]()
We can't wait either -- less than a month to go now!! Looks HILARIOUS!!!

Yeah, I was going to mention my kids are 10 and 12 1/2. There were little or no cuss words and maybe only one kissing scene. I'm sure it was rated that way for violence and the scare factor. Parents need to be the judge as to whether the kids can handle that or not.
Since my daughter is nearing 13 she probably thinks she'll be able to see any PG-13 movie. Not true. I'll still be screening them. Some PG-13's are almost as bad as R. I've always been careful with what they see. www.screenit.com is a great site.
The preview for Talladega Nights was really funny. I'm looking forward to that one too.

Daughter (21) and her boyfriend (a few days away from 25) are going back to see "Pirates" tonight. They also went last Friday. They love the makeup/special effects.

Oh Boy, supposed to see that one soon. Looks like I can plan a nap. :funn:
I fell asleep during Chicken Little when the sky was falling!
we went to see Cars last week and just loved it - every single minute. No snoozing in this one... great for kids of all ages and parents too!

I figured due to the length of Cars, I would probably fall asleep. The hubby laughs because I fell asleep during Jim Carrey's "The Mask" and that is a very LOUD movie. He said I snored. I think he was fibbing

We just went to see Superman! It was SOOO good! Loved loved loved it. I may be in love with Superman now. As long as he doesn't fly me up too high.

I would imagine he does n't need any Viagra
Probably need some Kryptonite to slow him down.

I'd think that Kryptonite (crystal meth) would speed him up.

Is that what Kryptonite is? Why does he always get so sick near it? Remind him of a past incident that he got too wired on?

A few weeks ago I was a little sad when I went through Sam's room and packed up all the little girl stuff but I have to say it's really nice hanging out with my soon to be teenager. Dylan has been at a friends lakehouse the past few days so we've had some mother/daughter time together. Last night we went to see The Devil Wears Prada. Loved it. We always ask what was your favorite part? She liked it when Andi decided to get serious about her job and changed her wardrobe. They showed her in several different gorgeous outfits. It was my favorite part too. We wanted to go home and watch Project Runway but Dad was watching something else on DVR when we got there. I look forward to more days like this with my teenager.

Peapod, I noticed Little Miss Sunshine opened up last week in St. Louis. Were you able to ditch the little peas and to see it? It opens here on Friday. We may be able to see it Saturday night. One of the advantages of having an almost 13 yr old daughter...built in babysitter.

I was reading the NYT yesterday, there was a huge ad in there for it, mocking me!I have a 13-year-old son, OL--problem is him getting the other 3 little Pods to listen to him--not much luck, poor guy!

OL--saw "Little Miss Sunshine" last night! Very funny, lots of moments of out and out belly laughing. A few overly silly moments, but the performances and characters were great. The movie's ending is hysterical!

I watched Brokeback Mountain this weekend. It was a great love story, but one I am sure the guys would never make it through.

Daughter and I went to see The Devil Wears Prada. Loved the clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry. Glad my husband and her boyfriend didn't go -- it's totally a chick flick.
YOU MUST DO THIS. GO TO WWW.SNAKESONAPLANE.COM, CLICK "GET A CALL FROM SAMUEL L. JACKSON," AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. IT'S REALLY FUNNY. I sent one to my husband when he was in a meeting, he snuck in a quick voice mail check, and nearly had to leave to avoid laughing out loud in the meeting.
