DON'T WAIT UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE, OPERATE YOUR LSV SAFELY!

South Walton Fire District responds to numerous Low Speed Vehicle-related crashes every Spring Break. Oftentimes, we encounter incidents and injuries that are preventable.

While we know LSVs can be a contentious topic for our area, we are trying to do our part to educate the Spring Break masses. We want you to have fun, but don't wait until it's too late to practice LSV safety! No Spring Break vacation is worth your life. Please remember:

1️⃣Everyone in the LSV needs to wear a seatbelt to prevent being thrown from the vehicle.
2️⃣Do not attempt to fit more people in the LSV than there are seats.
3️⃣Keep your limbs, hands, feet, and head inside the vehicle at all times.
4️⃣If you've been drinking, find a sober driver or alternate form of travel.
5️⃣Be mindful of how quickly you come to a stop or attempt a turn. LSVs can easily roll over when driven around a corner too quickly.

In the event of an emergency, call 911. Be safe out there!
