Does anyone know who the volunteers have chosen as their starting qb for this season? I heard from someone the other day that it was said on the news, but I never did get a chance to see who it was. Wondering if anyone out there happened to see who is going to be their qb this year. I'm not saying that the vols are going to do well this year, but for me, if they finish out the season with even one more win than they do losses, that would be a win for me. I would be happy if they had more wins than losses. They don't even have to go to a bowl game. (It would be nice though.)

I just can't wait for college football period to start. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the sec does this year, especially tennessee. I'm sure we don't stand a prayer against the bigger names like alabama, florida & georgia. The thing tennessee is really missing is the quarterback position & they haven't had a good one in quite some time. Erik Ainge had the potential to be a great qb, but he seemed lazy in a way to me. It was almost like he didn't try that hard. And I think he had some great potential to be a very good qb. Without awesome quarterbacks, tennessee will be doomed every year.

The only interesting QB controversy is how this guy could still be a virgin.

Possible - he sure does like Jesus.

One thing for sure - whatever his preference, he has the pick of the litter.

It's official - Crompton is the starting QB. Hardesty and Bryce Brown are starting at RB. In total 5 freshman listed as starters - others sure to see action. Try these links for more info:

I hope Lane Kiffin was able to do something with Crompton. Hopefully they have been able to work out kinks in the QB position. That is our strongest area of opportunity. No qb=not a very good season. And BTW..... I understand Tebow to be a christian, but surely he can't not be tempted by that.

Jonathan Crompton did a great job for the Vols in yesterday's win over Western Ky., however, we have UCLA next. Hope he and the Vols can do that well offensively against UCLA where the running and passing game are concerned. I was really impressed with them.
