Texas Weekend Memories

Friday night--Brought home giant poodle for sleepover.came home to roofers trampling all over flower beds. SoWalled for a while. Ate bad food. Took medicine. Went to bed.

Saturday--Drank one pot of coffee. Took medicine. Did laundry. Cleaned formal living/dining. Hung pictures inherited from dead mother in law. Went shopping for new 4th of July tablecloth, napkins, etc. Bought a new red, white and blue wreath for door. Went to Wal-Mart😱 . Bought food in preparation for impending visit from 5 😱 kids. Had to pick up 4 of said kids because their mother was too lazy to bring them:pissed: .

Saturday night--Fed said kids. 2 of said kids fell asleep in their plates. Slept for a whopping 30 minutes. Got a call from a sweet SoWaller that she'd made it home safe and was sad she was gone from there.:( Roofers left at 9:00 after they moved satellite dish and fu**ed it all up. cell phoned back and forth while mr. dd was up on roof trying to adjust, only to discover a long cable unplugged and lying in the trampled flowerbed. Yippee! Satellite fixed, kids happy. Storm came and knocked out satellite again :bang: . Kids not happy. Kids wide awake. Called kids dad and told him he better come over at once and get kids to sleep. Dad arrived at 12:30 am. Nay in bed at 2:00 am after mopping up lead from storm/roofers in laundry room.

Sunday morning--Fed kids. Eggs with syrup :idontno: --crazy kids. Grandson covered in syrup and dog hair. Bathed kids. Dressed kids. Kids ate candy and had to be bathed again. Son in law arrived to take grandson home. Only 4 kids left. Stepdaughter and boyfriend arrived to gift mr. dd. They are entertaining kids.

I need a drink. and some REAL SoWal.

DD sometimes it's like we are living each others lives. Only in different states! :rofl:

dd, i feel your pain - i guess i had a better weekend than you, didn't accomplish a darned thing. did get a hug AND a kiss from my nephew, usually you get one or the other but not both . so far it hasn't rained too much here although looks like a storm is headed our way shortly.

i hope your day has improved - sometimes it helps just to vent, don't it !

my hubby would definitely miss me - i'm the only one who can find his wallet in the mornings !

DD, I got to tell you this cracked me up. I wasn't laughing at YOU though. Just the situation. Grandkids are wonderful, you can love 'em then send them home, huh? Hope next weekend is better for you!!

I played poker at my friends house. Came home with $52.35. Last weekend I came home with $85.00. I have cleaned out all of there "spare change buckets". I bet they won't invite me over anymore. ;-)
