Thailand?

sorry i am domesticated, we don't get out much except to sowal ! i did enjoy the 2 cruises we took though. guess i am not very adventurous !

Has any one ever visited Thailand? I am looking at all kinds of possibilitles for travel...this summer will be my last one free of work..so I am looking for good places to visit...any other suggestions???..I have Paula's for Barga in Italy... I would love Greece, but I do not know how safe that is right now??? :idontno: Also... I don't want to spend a fortune...any bargains you know of?

Allifun - Go to Thailand. It is incredible and the people are wonderful. English is their second language. Bangkok, Pattaya (on the coast 2 hrs from Bangkok) and Puket (island in the Andaman Sea) are all incredible places to visit. Google these sites and check it out.

We are lucky to have family there.

I would LOVE to go on one of those cooking vacations--France/Italy would be good.....where you get to stay at some villa and drink LOTS of wine while you're cooking!

OMG that looks amazing :wub: ...How much does the darn thing cost??...maybe a cruise is the way to go..cruise the Mediterranean! Greece & Egypt...??? I have been on Caribbean (S & W) and I love a cruise..I would like a smaller boat to cruise the Med. area..one that holds abot 200 people?

I am thinking of taking one (lots of $$$...but I might as well do it while I can..and can go alone!!!) that goes to Italy & Greece...or Spain?

:scratch: May have to consider that ;-) I am planning to be there March 4th-8th or 9th for sure...but an April trip for Easter would be nice...I don't think I have any time off at Easter tho :(

Some parts of the Carribbean are a great trip in the summer, depending on where you go - it is their off season.

You could go to St Barths where there is usually a deal with the rental car included. It is a French Island - their main source of income is tourism - so they are not as offended when I can't speak French!!! The food is incredible and there beaches that have a lot of different flavor!!! However, none of the beaches are as great as our SoWal beaches. In the off season, it is not hard to get into any restaurants. And people take their dogs to the outside cafes. The airport is a trip - the pilot comes over a mountain and immediately puts on brakes - the landing strip is very short - and there is a cemetary near the runway!!! It is a landing never to forget!!!
