Alright..confession time. I've been divorced for many years now and have actually been very happy and felt no need to search for the perfect man as I'd heard he didn't exist anyway

My kids kept me busy and life is full.

I have dated off an on, nothing too serious. A few years ago I started a friendship with a great guy. That friendship has very recently become serious and I am offically engaged and sporting a lovely ring to boot. :blush:

No wedding is emminate except the one I'm planning for my daughter, so everyone remain calm. If you must get excited please concentrate on the worry of the hot browns staying hot and the bar tab exceeding my funn budget at Bethies wedding. We are so excited about her big day that we are not focusing on much else for a few weeks.

Jdarg and Mermaid were in on the secret as of Friday and threatened to go public on the board as good Sowallers should. Therefore I'm coming out with it before they do so you hear it from the source. There is offically one less bachelor in Louisville, he's a handsome thing with lots of dark hair, beautiful blue eyes and a huge heart. Not only that he's crazy about me, (go figure :idontno:

) so what more can a girl want?

That is the positively perfect response, gttbm! Lynne, I am so excited for you--what a wonderful turn of events!

Poor little Mermy was about floored when I showed off the ring. It was like the old school days when your roomates fall on you with excitement because your boyfriend asked you to go steady. There was lots of hugging and excited girly sounds. I believe we scared Merman. By they way thank you Mermaid again for your kindness. You are funn and sweet, a great combination. Merman is very lucky to have you.

There were a few pictures taken that night, we were trying to hide behind the pumpkin pie as I recall. Jen-ay may have packed the camera already so who knows where they are.

Sorry- the few pics we managed to get all had "issues" :floor:

Then the camera battery died and the cord went missing...but we found it so we are ready for Christmas.

But we had our priorities straight- talking, drinking, and eating came first.

Congatulations Lynne..........I am so very, very happy for you. I wish for you much love and happiness forever and forever. Now, about that wedding. Plan it for the beach please so I can have another excuse to come down!!!!!

Lynne, I saw those pictures and all I can say is that you could tell that some of us hit the sauce early. Not naming names you understand. :roll: I think SoWal will have to see us all--in person--at your beach wedding!!!! (pretty please again :razz:

PLEASE you actully opened the wine in front of me I think the only people not feeling the alcohol were the guys. I must say that shopping while tipsy is great funn. Huummm wonder what my new dress looks like now that I'm sober. Scary, better check that out soon. Thanks for using discretion in posting the pictures. I'd hate for anyone to form an opinion of me after a hard day at work and several fast glasses of wine.

Yes everyone (especially you Darlene) if you need an "excuse" to get to the beach I'm it. Ms Kitty you are so right the wench wedding committee will come in handy. Thanks much everyone for the good ideas and well wishes!

OL, it wasn't too long ago and if you PM she will send the link to see the photos. They are beautiful! It looked like such a happy relaxing wedding. I tried nudging Lynne into future plans about herself (her wedding!) now that her daughter's is over with it, but she wasn't saying anything. Yet.

Thanks for the well wishes. We are thinking of the beach escape wedding for us. Someday we will determine a date I promise and I will share it with you all. But I need to recover from my daughters wedding first. Which was so funn by the way! If you want to see the proofs from that day please PM me. I love sharing that day :wub:
