I started swearing like a sailor after being around my first roommate at Tulane who swore like a sailor. It has always made my husband uncomfortable. Then when our daughter picked it up from me, her swearing made me uncomfortable. I also began to realize that when I heard other women swear, it had started making me un comfortable. I'll admit that when alone I swear to release frustration or anger. So I decided to stop swearing. It still slips out every once in a while, and I still swear around friends who swear (as long as hubby or our daughter aren't around).:blush:
Sometimes when I'm alone in the car it's just a stress relief to pound my hands on the steering wheel and say the eff word. Or if I'm behind someone driving way too slowly, I start singing Ludacris' "Move, b----! Get out the way! Get out the way!" :blush:

If there were better words to use that expressed as much passion and umpf then someone bring it- if there isn't , then carry on... 😀
My kids do not have permission to use adult words.
When they pay their own rent and provide for themselves, they can decide whatever else they want to do.
Hopefully by that time, new passionate words will be around that will be acceptable to society- yeah right.
I don't think these words are intended to provide comfort, but are passion expressed in a human way that shows we still care about the way life is lived.
I have always preferred raw passion to polished diplomacy.
Hopefully, I will land somewhere close to the middle.
Just like a man in a pirate's garb is a bit more appealing than a suit.
Of course, the pirate's garb(passion), suit finances(responsibility), and a Mr. Mom mentality(good with kids) is the ultimate with Romeo(romance) sprinkled on top of it all. tee hee hee :lolabove:
Damn Good subject, Rita! :lol::wave:

I'm not much for cussing and only like some rap but I'm thinking this rapper has a powerful point:
“Thou shall not rap at the F’n drive-thru!” .... :freaky:

I love to swear and have since I was in diapers! My folks tried to stop me but I have a natural ability; it's my special gift. I even have folks tell me that when other women cuss it sounds vulgar but with me it sounds normal-maybe they're just used to me. I gotta say that I can roll stuff together in special swear phrases that others like so much that they share them with others!!!

I am trying to cut back on my cursing unless I really mean it.
When I really mean it, a marine drill sergeant would be impressed.

:lol: you got the gift!!! love it!!!
I love to get creative with it - just for funn. I really like the bad bad words - as long as its between friends and all for a good cause such as lots of laughter, or emphasizing a good story. My goal is to cuss often and not mean anything whatsoever by it.
I was raised around a bunch of cussing Italians! As children, we thought it was hysterical but we knew we were not allowed the privilege until fully grown!
