Tori & Dean's Inn Love tonight

I can't believe I'm telling people to...but watch it tonight. It's our episode.:blush:

And while I have you all, I want to tell you about a little lesson learned today. I had a pounding pain in my face Fri, Sat and Sun. Knew it was a root canal situation. I have NOT been to the dentist since December of 2002. :blink: Aka, when I left Alabama. So I'm fine, brush my teeth, no problems, then this. So I go to the dentist. She lectures me, I have to go back for another root canal, I have a cracked crown I didn't know about, been grinding my teeth, ect. She said she always gets 26-28 year olds who pull the same thing. Didn't have dental insurance or didn't know where to go to the dentist and now I have about $5k worth of work done ahead of me in the next month.:(

So here's the story from today. I go yesterday, she refers me to a endodonist. Fine. I get in with an emergency appointment at 8AM. X-ray me and they see there is infection and we need a root canal. So he goes to numb and he has to numb in my swollen, infected gums. Hurts like hell. So he double numbs me seeing that the infection fights off the Novacaine. So he starts working, the pressure from the infection, which he realized once he got in, is killing me. I'm brave, we get through it, but the throbbing on my face is so unbearable from the pressure. So he takes a scalpel and literally cuts a slit in my gum to relieve the pressure- especially since I'm flying Thurs to NY.

So then I get out and they hit me with an $800 co-pay. Boom, dial mom, hand over phone, start crying. I can't quit crying. Walk to my car, spit blood for about 15 minutes. Still crying.

Now that I've calmed down, I'm doing a little better, but now I've learned my lesson about 2 cleanings a year.

sorry about your dental situation kimmi - i have one of those type things coming up in july, new crown and bridge = $$$. and my dental insurance only covers $1000 max, so the remaining 5k is mine all mine.

i have been faithfully watching tory and dean every week to catch a glimpse of you. hopefully the dvr is recording it so i can watch it when i get home. i have become addicted to this show. i kinda like dean - is he nice ?

My insurance picks up half to $1500. Great for the drugs though.

This is it...this is the one. I did the CPK part last week, but was standing off to the side. Dean is SO great. I loved him. He was happy with the party, though they may make it seem that he's not! Tori was great to work with as well. Dean was even down for the custom "Deanie Martini" that we named after him. So hot too.:wub:

i didn't think i would like the show, but i have really gotten into it - she isn't nearly what i thought she would be like - i think she's a really nice person, just kinda goofy. he is extremely hot !

Coolness, I didn't know you were on that!!! My husband was born in Fallbrook so we watch it to see how the city has changed, but he doesn't reconize anything (it was about 20 yrs ago!). Tell me all about it!

He's from Fallbrook!? So cool! It's a cute little town. The company I work for was hired to produce the event. We secured a lot of sponsorship for the party and for the show.

Fallbrook is cute. We stayed at the La Estancia Inn.

Kimmi, I feel for you so much! Alex and I went to the dentist last Monday and I came away needing a root canal & crown, and Alex does the same grinding thing you do and he'll need surgery on his tooth. And the $$!! Even with the dental insurance it all costs a fortune, and the sheer irritation of having to eat old people food because you can't put any pressure on your mouth...it's all such a pain. I've been grumping for a week, so you go ahead and cry all you want. You have my complete sympathy on this one. And, btw, don't beat yourself up about what's happened to your teeth. I asked the surgeon what I did to cause a problem that necessitated killing four nerves cold, and he said %^*? just happens sometimes.

No, not at all but they weren't happy with the bags. Not enough stuff in them. T sent someone out to get wine and candles to add to them.

I loved the before and after pictures. The Inn looked grayt and Dean does seem like a really good guy.

Don't get me started on the bags! I got the wine secured on my way from San Diego to intercept a package!!!!!!!

Kimmi - I am going through the same thing in so much pain I'm sucking on tylenol. I can't do lydocaine/novacaine, I have to have nitrous oxide. Nobody uses it here who is a specialist. The THROBBING is so bad!
I almost feel like flying to Michigan to get this done by experienced Endo. Dentist. My tongue can only apply so much pressure to the throb area! Thats why I'm still up! Fear of Root Canals!

I'm getting better, but now that my allergies are flaring up bc of the dog I'm sitting, it's just insult to injury!

The pressure from flying would kill you though. Have you tried Mobile?

No local, I had one other root canal -responsible for all my dental nightmares. I had an anxiety attack while the rubber dam was in my mouth. I'm not sure if I was allergic to the caine drug, the material in in the rubber dam, or the combo, but I couldn't breathe, and the Dentist wasn't in the room, was working a 4 different patients at the same time. I panicked, called for help with a weak sound, and no one came, it seemed like forever. When they finally came, I said it was leaving. Until the caine wore off, I kept drinking water to clear my air passage.
Have not been able to use anything other than nitrous since then.

:eek:I saw it! They were being really biatchy about them gift bags girl! I couldn't believe she said she was going to the 99 cent store to get more stuff. :shock: Geez, there's just no pleasing some people! :roll: I though the bags were superb.
