Tornado Warning; Report near De Funiak Springs?

I just heard on The Weather Channel that a funnel cloud and some damage has been reported in Walton County and that radar indicated the circulation over De Funiak Springs right now. Anyone seeing anything interesting? Do try to get some photos (but stay safe in the process).

TWC just mentioned that one coming onshore, it has "a hook echo and some well defined rotation." Looks like another tornado warning will be issued for southern Walton County.

JDarg, during a flood around here, the last place you would want to be is the basement. The rising water table may drench you. :funn:

Ms Kitty was well prepared for the down-pouring rain.

:funn: ...you and Dr. Skunky are too too funny. Miss Kitty went shopping today while Mr. Kitty stayed home and rebuilt the computer again. He told me his fee would be $5,000.00. I wrote him a check!

I totally missed out on the Walton Co tornado warnings, but on the way to school in Rosemary Beach, I heard an announcement on the radio of a tornado warning for Bay County (east). then someone at school said there was one by the Winn Dixie at Inlet Beach - very close to the school area.

That is funny.

That reminds me of when I was growing up and my mom and I would go shopping for my dad's Christmas or birthday gifts and since my mom was a stay at home mom when I was young, I soon began to think, "wow, so we buy dad gifts, but he pays for them?"

That must have been the one at Hollywood Beach in Bay County, which apparently flipped a car over on U.S. 98.

Here is where I get all of my weather info:

http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/reports/today.html
great site - isn't this the one most used by fellow sowallers during hurricane tracking?

I never ever look at weather reports. That's what friends are for. Thanks Bsmarti!

I think so. I use it for everything, during all seasons. Most importantly, it has the detailed computer models used by the meterologists on there, so if there is going to be severe weather of any kind--flooding, tornadoes, heavy snow/ice--you can read about it or visualize it on their graphics up to 8 days in advance.

Do meterologists need attorneys? Maybe you can represent criminal weather people and do your legal work while getting your weather jollies too!!!:clap_1:

Well crap! If I had known that was in the "Kitty" we'd have blown off our plans and held his hand. I think since GTTBD called and offered his help I should get a cut! :floor::rofl::funn::clap_1:

We went by the Winn Dixie. There was a Frito Lay truck on it's side with all kinds of emergency vehicles on site! :idontno:

On the news they called in "a potato truck". I had a vision of a horse pulling a cart overflowing with spuds.

Saw it on the news, along with a clip of a weather man parked on the side of the road with film rolling as a truck carrying what looked like a mobile home, was blown right off the road, rolled onto its side and nearly clipped the weather man's car.

Wow, I hope the driver wasn't hurt. Was it wind blown over, or hydroplane in all that rain?

It was in the parking lot. I think the driver was standing in the parking lot when we drove by.
