Trying to fit in

i figured the only way i will see any of the darn hummers is in my little pics. i had at least 4 last year, this year only 1. they make me soooo mad..... don't worry the devil will be back !

The lil hummers are quite evasive at times I know, but during Opal I had 2 that constantly kept fed with feeders and MANY flowers............I just knew Opal would take them away, and I did lose one, but one was back in about a week and stayed with me that whole winter.

And thanks to all ALL of you for letting me feel some loveeeeeeeeeee:wub:

i get so frustrated because no joke, my parents must have 15-20 hummers all the time - it is sickening...me with my measly one.

WOW...........15-20, that would piss me off too! They sorta pass through here during the spring, rarely hang out for summer, and come through in the fall............and if you're lucky (like I was during that year of Hurricane Opal) you may get one to stay all winter.

i can't even stand the smell, let alone the taste. when we toured the busch plant in st louis i just about got sick from the smell of beer :puke:

my hubby is a wino, but i don't care for it either. right now i am into sour apple martinis, long island iced teas, mai tai's, hurricanes, and anything blue !

I do love that smell! We have a brewery here in Fort Worth, and it's right next door to the bread bakery. Need I say more?:lol:

when i was 4, wasn't in kindergarten yet, we went to panama city to visit my uncle and aunt - he was in the airforce down there. we drove by that paper mill, or at least a paper mill every day, god did it stink ! they were used to it and didn't even notice it, and we were like eeeeewwwwww gross !

on a side note, they lived in a trailer around mexico beach, and we went swimming in the ocean all day long. i was fascinated by the beautiful fish, and my cousin was 10 yrs or so older than me and he would catch fish for me and put them in a bucket of water. my mom was in the ocean and he goosed her and scared her to death. she screamed and her dentures went flying out of her mouth, so he spent the afternoon snorkeling for aunt carol's teeth - believe it or not he found uppers and lowers !:rolling:
