| The Walton County Housing Summit brings together community partners, housing professionals, and engaged residents for a full day of learning, collaboration, and forward-thinking discussion. Through a series of focused sessions, the Summit explores the core issues shaping housing in Walton County while highlighting local progress and opportunities for innovation. Summit Objectives: • Learn foundational housing concepts and key terms, along with current insights into local housing challenges and emerging trends. • Receive an overview of the housing action plan being developed by the Walton County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and Emerald Coast Regional Council. • Explore success stories from across the county that showcase what is working right now. • Gain a timely legislative update from the Florida Housing Coalition. • Participate in a panel discussion centered on practical strategies to make homeownership more attainable for Walton County residents. The Housing Summit was organized by the Walton County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and the Walton Community Health Improvement Partnership (WCHIP).
