The planning commission has approved a proposal to be voted on by the BCC that any future changes to the 50-foot height limit in South Walton require a super majority vote by the BCC - three votes plus one out of five for the limit to be raised or lowered.

I find it unsettling that this issue has come up now, especially considering the pro-development stance of our current BCC.

I believe this change was requested by the new commissioners in November 2020 in order to make it more difficult to remove height restrictions.

When's the last time the BCC did something to further conservation and counter business & development?

Considering it's the two candidates that won against condo money backed candidates I'll take their word for it. At least their doing something for their constituents, Danny Glidewell is too busy chasing conspiracy theories.
