Everything I read on those occasions tells me that when President Trump invited — indeed, demanded — foreign involvement in our upcoming election, he struck at the very heart of what makes this a republic to which we pledge allegiance. Drawing a foreign government into our elections is an especially serious abuse of power because it undermines democracy itself.Stanford Law School professor Pamela Karlan

Lefty Pundits Rage At Whiteness Of Democrats’ 2020 Candidates After Kamala Drops OutReally? I don't know anyone who thinks she was a good presidential candidate at this point in time, although in the future she may be. She might be vice presidential material as well, although I like her in the Senate.

Impeachment legal case is ‘woefully inadequate,’ 'dangerous,' legal expert Turley testifiesHis best argument is weak. He says yes all the allegations against Trump are true and he's done some terrible things that are indeed impeachable offenses, we just shouldn't impeach him. He thinks that the proceedings are too narrow and fast. Fast and broad is OK, slow and narrow is OK, but fast and narrow no way. It's just some sort of personal preference that he is trying to write into the Constitution on the fly. Another preference is that he would like for there to be an actual statutory crime committed, even though it's not Constitutionally necessary. He would just like it, that's all. Because that's the way it's been in the other impeachments. Let's see we've had three impeachments and this one is different. We've also had 44 previous presidents and to say that the current one is different would be one of the biggest understatements in recorded history.

Did McClintock just argue the bias of the republicans should disqualify them to judge the president?

One of the Republican ladies on the panel said the president did not mention Biden in transcript (There was no transcript) and proceeded to read from the call summary. She is lying, here is what she failed to read from the same summary.
The other thing, There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it... It sounds horrible to me.

Today Univerity Professor Jonathan Turley, said that an offense must be a crime to constitutionally merit impeachment, but in 2014 when Republicans were talking about impeaching President Barack Obama, Turley wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post arguing that in fact it is a “myth” that an impeachable offense must be an indictable crime.
While there’s a high bar for what constitutes grounds for impeachment, an offense does not have to be indictable. Serious misconduct or a violation of public trust is enough. Madison saw impeachment as ‘defending the community against the incapacity, negligence or perfidy of the chief magistrate.’ And the founders emphasized that impeachments were about what happened in the political arena: involving ‘political crimes and misdemeanors’ and resulting in ‘political punishmentsJonathan Turley 2014

Today he tried to appeal to people who don't have the inclination to do legal research. He essentially said that while impeachment is justifiable, it just doesn't "feel" right.

Don't you like the way he talks over people and when they try to answer, he tells them they are eating up clock time? He could only appeal to NW Florida scum.

Stanford Law School professor Pamela KarlanOnly in the minds of crazed liberals is it funny to drag a 13-year-old child into the impeachment nonsense. Pamela Karlan thought she was being clever and going for laughs, but she instead reinforced for all Americans that Democrats have no boundaries when it comes to their hatred of everything related to President Trump. Hunter Biden is supposedly off-limits according to liberals, but a 13-year-old boy is fair game. Disgusting.
Every Democrat in Congress should immediately repudiate Pamela Karlan and call on her to personally apologize to the President and the First Lady for mocking their son on national TV.

I did feel she was out of line and she did apologize.

Considering all the disgusting insults that have been spewed by this president in the past four years, her lame attempt at humor pales in comparison. I listened to most of today's proceedings on NPR during my workday, and I was really struck by what a great system of government our forefathers created. And I was also struck by the incredibly dangerous situation we are in, when a handful of greedy, power-hungry Republicans can completely devastate our republic. They all know the extent of what the president did, and the ramifications to our national security, as well as the corruption of our election system, and yet they defend him just for their own personal gain. THEY JUST DON'T CARE. Sickening.
