It's obvious what Trump did to warrant impeachment. The only dispute, mostly by Republicans in denial, is whether or not to remove him. But that has absolutely nothing to do with the unproven allegations of quid pro quo for personal favor against Joe Biden. Unless you've been living in a cave on a desert isle for the last week, it's become quite clear that exoneration of President* Trump is now out of the question. He cannot be exonerated any more than Bill Clinton was, and Clinton's offenses were trivial by comparison. Trump's only defense is "yeah I did all these things, now what are you going to do about it". He will likely be "acquitted" and those who vote for acquittal will live with the legacy of having wiped their asses with the Constitution.
