I'm listening to Deadwood in the background while Sowalling in the foreground. For the record, the "F" word was used over 2900 during the season!

Musically, I'm in a huge Muse phase right now. Three guys from the UK with an inimitable sound!

A little off subject, but I read today that the biggest selling album of all time was (drum roll) The Eagles Greatest Hits, but that Thriller was predicted to overtake it (dead guys sell big). This kind of had me scratching my head. I thought it might be Dark Side of the Moon or Sgt. Pepper or White Album. Does anybody have a favorite that they think should have been number one?

I wish that I was more computer-savvy.....I found a YouTube clip of Prince who, personally, I admire, though I don't appreciate all of his music. I was always of the idea that his was music from "the edge". Well, I stand corrected, because what I found is about as good an example of good blues groove that there is. It is entitled "Prince_Medley_Rave_UN2_the_year_2000.wmv". It is a mind-relaxing groove......give it a try!

I am listening to ShallowsFuzz rummage through boxes of old pictures looking for an old picture he once took while responding to a call and a huge moth repeatedly flying into the window. Oh, and the dishwasher.

My evenings are just full of mirth and glee...

I absolutely LOVE Muse! They are amazing. The lead singer's voice is incredibly beautiful. I can listen to Muse anytime and never grow tired of their sound. Even their acoustic sound is good.

I used to fall asleep to the Allman Brothers Band....Eat a Peach, or Live a the Filmore....my cousin was the lead guitarist, and their music was something to behold at the time.....I have many a fond memory of being back-stage/on-stage, and being "in the moment".....

Dickie Betts?

I still love the Allman Bros. too, ever since I was probably 13 & my older brother listened to them. Now my teenage son discovered them a few years ago and immediately fell in love with their sound. So nice to still be able to listen to them thru different ears.

Yes, Dickie.....unfortunately, his personal life isn't as stellar as his musical ability, but the original group was phenomenal in the era of 70's Southern rock. The new, younger guys that have picked up the gauntlet are equally as talented, though the genre isn't in vogue these days.....we can only hope for a resurrection!

You are correct about this. My son is unusual as his musical tastes are very broad. I imagine if he had the chance, he would try to see them in concert.

Allman Brothers -- staple food in our house. Santana, Clapton, Cream, Traffic, Dead, Fleetwood Mac (early stuff). Recently acquired a good digital version of Buckingham Nicks -- finally, the sound is fatter than the cruddy bootleg CD's I'd heard... I would say a public thanks to the kind person who provided this, but s/he might get slammed with requests for more!

More recent fun from Easy Star All Stars ...
